Effortless freshness, thoughtfully layered.

No green thumb? No problem. Faux greenery is one of our favourite styling tools at Envision Interiors for adding softness, depth, and a sense of life to a space, without the maintenance.

We love how greenery instantly brings a home to life. While fresh-cut stems and living plants have their place, faux greenery offers a beautiful alternative for low-light rooms, busy lifestyles, or clients who want a consistently polished look year-round. When chosen and styled thoughtfully, faux plants can feel just as natural and layered as the real thing.

Below, we’re sharing our go-to ways to incorporate faux greenery into your home in a way that feels refined, intentional, and effortlessly timeless.

In a Vase

A classic arrangement

The key to styling faux greenery in a vase is embracing imperfection. Natural arrangements are never rigid or symmetrical, so gently bend the stems, vary the heights, and open the leaves to create an organic shape. Keep adjusting until the arrangement feels relaxed and lifelike.

We typically style one type of greenery per vessel for a clean, understated look, but mixing two complementary stems can add softness. For a subtle statement, pair greenery with delicate faux florals in muted tones.

Choose a vase that allows the arrangement to breathe, full enough to feel intentional, but not overcrowded. Faux arrangements work beautifully on coffee tables, kitchen islands, console tables or open shelving.

In a Planter

As if it’s rooted

Faux drop-in plants are one of the most versatile greenery options. Styled in ceramic pots, woven baskets, or stone planters, they add depth and texture to kitchens, shelving, bathrooms, and living spaces.

They’re especially effective in areas where live plants struggle, allowing you to maintain a cohesive, curated look throughout the home. The key is choosing a planter that feels substantial and grounding, helping the greenery feel as though it truly belongs in the space.

In a Corner

A quiet statement

An empty corner is the perfect place for a sculptural faux tree. Whether real or artificial, greenery in a corner adds height, balances the room, and softens architectural lines.

For an intentional vignette, pair a faux tree with a chair, side table, or piece of art. This creates a layered moment that feels styled yet effortless - ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, or home offices.

On a Pedestal

Elevated and artful

One of our favourite styling techniques is placing faux greenery on a pedestal or plinth. Elevating the plant instantly turns it into a focal point, allowing it to read as a sculptural element rather than a simple accessory.

This works beautifully at the end of a hallway, in an under-styled corner, or as a subtle statement in a living space. The combination of form, height, and texture brings quiet drama without overwhelming the room.
